at Mosa Township, Middlesex County,
Catherine, daughter of Alexander Brodie and Christina Currie202 was born 1 February 1857 at Aldborough Township, Elgin County, Ontario. George and Kate were married 15 March 1882 in the Presbyterian Manse at Wardsville, Ontario. The marriage record listed George as a farmer203. They had three children; Christina, John and George Gordon.
The 1901 census found the family at lot 5, concession 6 of Aldborough Township, Elgin County living in a six room house on 50 acres. Also of note from the census is that Alex Brodie, his wife Caroline and Alex’s mother Christina were living next door to George and Kate.
Kate died from cerebral paralysis on 7 July 1923 after a few weeks of illness204. George died from endorcarditis on 2 June 1934205 and both were buried in the Cemetery at Rodney.
