William George, son of Frederick Parr and Jane Whiting, was born 16 December 1864 at ____________ Ontario.  The 1901 census had his birth as 15 November 1865.

Sarah Jane, daughter of Allen Hayward and Eliza Lester, was born 3 June 1873 at ________________ Ontario.

They were married 23 March 1890 in the _____________________ (church?) at _______________. (city)

They had 7 children; Sherman, Hazel May, Clinton Earl, Della Mae, Wilfred Allen, Otis Leonard, and Raymond David Frederick.

For the 1901 census, they had 2 lodgers and a farm hand listed with them. The farm hand turned out to be Willy's future brother-in-law by marrying his sister Vinie.

Willy had a butcher business in Brigden and the male children were expected to help out after school; Sherman slaughtered his first animal - a sheep - when he was 9 years old.

Granddaughter Mary Lee Parr Apps recalls Willy standing on top of the kitchen table playing the fiddle! ... if you can imagine.

Willy George died 8 January 1935 and was buried at Bear Creek Cemetery north of Brigden, Ontario. It was said that he died of tuberculosis.

Sarah died from ___________________ (cause) on 25 April 1938 and was buried at Bear Creek Cemetery north of Brigden, Ontario.
